Aims
Citizens Advice Direct is Scotland's independent
telephone advice service. We are dedicated to providing advice
services in a professional, non-judgemental manner to Scottish
citizens regardless of race, creed, disability, gender, age or
sexual orientation. All members of staff, advisers and volunteers
are encouraged to work alongside the key principles and policies
implemented by Citizens Advice Direct.
Mission Statement
Citizens Advice Direct is committed to empowering citizens by
providing a range of quality advice and information services
through caring and committed advisers, professional leadership and
standards of excellence.
Key Aims and Objectives
- To be a key gateway for citizen related advice in Scotland
- To provide advice which is accessible in a number of ways and
can be accessed easily by various types of citizen
- To offer social media based mechanisms for seeking advice, in
addition to the existing telephone based service
- To provide advice which is free, impartial, confidential and
independent
- To become an SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) Assessor
Centre and deliver the Telephone Advice SVQ (Scottish Vocational
Qualification)
