Macmillan Cancer Relief
Macmillan Cancer Relief
exists to make a real difference in the lives of people living with and affected by cancer. Its role is to pave the way to better care and support for everyone affected by cancer across the UK. Macmillan Cancer Relief acts as a source of support and a driver for change.
Macmillan’s approach involves caring for the whole person, not just treating the disease. It takes into account not just their medical needs but the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have. Macmillan are there for people from the moment they suspect they have cancer, and for their families too.
Macmillan work in partnership with people affected by cancer, and with other organisations such as the Citizens Advice and other charities, to deliver its own services and help others to develop theirs.
